Skilled in a broad range of legal issues, Jean Kordenbrock specializes in the disciplines of Campaign Finance and Election Law. She also brings a wealth of knowledge and first-hand experience to her clients who need assistance in areas of law relating to Non-Profits after serving as manager of both trade and charitable organizations as Founder and President of KRC Association Management, Inc.

 

At KRC, she managed accounts ranging from the start-up and the organization of trade associations and charities, to executing large events for those companies, including trade shows, conferences, board meetings and major fundraising events. The firm provided communications, member services, and book keeping services. Her specialties campaign finance compliance and reporting at both the state and federal levels.

 

Ms. Kordenbrock brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of Michigan government to her clients. Ms. Kordenbrock began her career in Governor Engler’s Appointment Division, identifying and screening individuals to be appointed by the Governor to the hundreds of Boards and Commissions required by Michigan statutes. She expanded her professional skills by moving to the legislative branch of Michigan Government as a key staff member for Senate Majority Floor Leader Senator Dan DeGrow. Ms. Kordenbrock gained the respect of elected officials and the lobby and advocacy communities, and the reputation as exceptional parlementaian serving as Senate Majority Floor Leader Senator Joanne Emmons floor manager.

 

Governor John Engler appointed Ms. Kordenbrock as Executive Director of the Michigan Women’s Commission. As the Executive Director, she led the board in numerous ground breaking initiatives to enhance the opportunities for women and their families in Michigan.

 

Jean Kordenbrock has also served as Legal Counsel and Legislative Affairs Associate at Midwest Strategy Group of Michigan, LLC in where she managed lobbying compliance and campaign finance issues for businesses ranging from small businesses to multi-national corporations.

 

Ms. Kordenbrock graduated with honors from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where she was selected as Assistant Editor of the Law Review. Ms. Kordenbrock earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan.

 

After completing her law degree she practiced with Gallagher Duby, PLC in the areas of Bankruptcy, Estate Planning and Probate, Real Estate Law and General Business Litigation and was part of the Adjunct Faculty at Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
